This dirty dozen list shows which fruits and vegetables that we SHOULD purchase organically because of the use of pesticides. When I work with families for Health Coaching I hear that healthy food is expensive. We can definitely find ways to save money! One of those ways is to notice which fruits and vegetables that you can purchase organically and which ones you could purchase conventionally due to their low or high pesticide use. We buy LOTS of organic food, however there are a few items that we purchase conventionally to save cost for our large family! The food listed here are the dirty dozen. That means, we want to buy these items organically. These HAVE the HIGHEST amount of PESTICIDES. I know that organic strawberries are expensive, however, pay now or pay later with your health! Reduce your toxic load by purchasing these items from an organic source to keep your liver functioning optimally.
