Don’t let Christmas Dinner Get you Down, 5 Things to Consider

This holiday season, find time to take care of you. Yes, it is a busy time. Sneak away from the hustle and bustle and get a relaxing bath, read a book, or go to the gym alone. Find a couple of ways to relax and unwind from all of the hustle and bustle.

Here are 5 things to consider before taking part in your holiday festivities.

  1. Eat breakfast that morning.
  2. Drink lots of water throughout the day. Enjoy some fresh squeezed lemon or lime in your water. Aim for 1/2 of your body weight in ounces of water. (ex. 100lbs = 50 oz , or 6 glasses of water)
  3. Enjoy time with family and friends and cultivate those relationships.
  4. Don’t worry about what you should and shouldn’t eat. Enjoy Christmas. It’s only 1 time a year and do things right the other 364 days. Don’t let this day’s choices get you down.
  5. Know yourself, if your weakness is dessert then offer to bring a dish. It can be as simple as Cranberry Chutney, Raw Holiday Fudge, or some sort of baked sweet potato dish. Keep it simple.
