Do you LOVE BBQ chicken pizza? Here’s an alternative to the gluten, dairy option that you normally view on menus in popular restaurants. This recipe may be prepared egg free too. Feel free to change this recipe as needed for your families allergies.
Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
For the Crust:
Blend Chebe Pizza Crust with 2 T oil and 2 large eggs. (*note-we use an egg replacer by combining 1 T. hot water with 2 T ground flaxseed and 1 T. of applesauce
Knead tough by hand or in a food processor until it forms a ball. Place dough on a pizza pan and spread. Poke surface of crust with tines of a fork. Bake crust for 7 min.
For the Topping:
BBQ sauce
Red onion
Oyster Mushroom**
Nutritional Yeast-provides B vitamins and a cheesy flavor
Peperoncini
Layer all natural BBQ sauce over crust and place the rest of the ingredients on the pizza by sprinkling them on.
Bake in your oven for another 7 minutes.
**How to prepare the Oyster Mushrooms
Chop, wash and drain mushrooms
In a hot wok add 1 T grapeseed oil on medium heat. Cook for 5 min. til moisture has evaporated. Splash with 1 T of Apple Cider Vinegar and salt to taste. Heat momentarily until Apple Cider Vinegar is no longer present. Remove from heat and place on your half cooked pizza.
