My husband and I are major guacamole enthusiasts, but our favorite place to get fresh guacamole is from The Cheesecake Factory. We love this appetizer so much that we decided to create our own recipe inspired by our favorite appetizer. Enjoy this quick and delicious appetizer at your next social event!
6 Avocados
2 limes, squeezed
3T red onion, chopped
A small bunch of cilantro, chopped
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp minced garlic
1 jalapeno, chopped
a dash of salt
a pinch of cayenne to taste
Instructions:
Slice avocados lengthwise and crosswise, then scoop out into a large bowl with a spoon. Add other ingredients and gently mix to desired consistency.
Tip: If you plan on refrigerating and serving a few hours later, keep the avocado pits and set them on top of the guacamole then cover bowl with plastic wrap. The pits, plus the lime juice will act as a preservative.
