Cilantro Pesto

 

Cilantro is an herb that contains MANY benefits.

It adheres to heavy metals and pulls them out of our bodies.

One study found that cilantro contains antioxidants and protects against oxidative stress.

Cilantro is being studied for its anti-anxiety affect that is has on the mind.

Protects against food poisoning. (1) 

May prevent against neurodegenerative diseases. (2)

Food is medicine. There’s a lot of reasons to eat this tasty food and add it to many meals!

Cilantro Pesto Recipe
INGREDIENTS:

• 4 cloves garlic
• 1/3 cup Brazil nuts 
• 1/3 cup sunflower seeds
• 1/3 cup pumpkin seeds 
• 2 cups packed fresh cilantro
• 2/3 cup olive oil
• 4 tablespoons lemon juice
• 2 tsp. Dulse powder
• Coconut Aminos or Gluten Free Tamari

Process the cilantro and olive oil in a blender until the cilantro is chopped. Add the garlic, nuts, seeds, dulse and lemon juice and mix until the mixture is finely blended into a paste. Add a small amount of  Coconut Aminos to taste and blend again. 

It freezes well. 

 

2 tsp a day to maintain good health. (a little goes a long way)
