Teriyaki Salmon

 

Salmon is fantastic source of Omega -3 fatty acids. Omega 3’s can aid in lowering triglycerides. Two crucial Omega 3 fatty acids are DHA and EPA. Both of these Omega 3 fatty acids are found in different types of fish and are helpful in aiding visual, neurological and brain development. Wild caught salmon is known to fight inflammation, some research suggests lowers levels of depression, may help symptoms of depression in people with bipolar disorder and reduces the symptoms of ADHD. More research is still occurring to test these claims. We do know that Omega 3 fatty acids are crucial to development and health. Here’s a recipe that our family enjoys.

 

**We served our salmon alongside some red, orange, yellow roasted peppers with red onion and some roasted asparagus. Dinner was ready in less than 30 minutes. #eattherainbow

Teriyaki Salmon Recipe
INGREDIENTS:

 

Terriyaki Salmon

For the marinade combine:

1/4 cup of grapeseed or avocado oil

1/4 cup of fresh lemon juice

1/4 cup coconut aminos

1 tsp stoneground mustard

1 tsp ginger powder

1/4 tsp garlic powder

4 Wild Caught Salmon steaks

Allow the flavors to mingle in the refrigerator for at least an hour in a gallon zip bag. 

Transfer fish and marinade to a glass container and place in the oven at 425 degrees for 12 minutes.
