Instant Pot Vegetarian Indian Dahl

Instant Pot Vegetarian Indian Dahl Recipe
INGREDIENTS:

2 Cups of Green Lentils (uncooked)

2 cans (14 oz) coconut milk (or fresh if available)

2 cups of distilled water

1 can of green chilies 

2 inches of raw ginger (food processed with S-blade)

2 lemons juiced

1/8 tsp of cayenne pepper

1 tsp of each of the following: Coriander, turmeric, ginger, cumin, cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg, paprika

2 handfuls of chopped cilantro- Add at the end of cooking time.

 

Wash lentils and soak overnight. Rinse the lentils a couple of times before cooking. 

Place all ingredients in an Instant Pot. Beans mode for 20 minutes. Serve with Jasmine, basmati, or brown rice.

If you don’t own an instant pot a crockpot is excellent to use all day! Place all ingredients in a crockpot in the morning. By the evening it will be ready. Turn on the low setting for 8 hours.
