Why soak grains?

Soaking grains deliver the nutrients to be more digestible. This process is equal to soaking beans prior to cooking. It releases the phytic acids in the grains and allows our bodies to digest them and assimilate the nutrients.

Traditionally in areas around the globe where grains are often eaten they soaked the grains prior to consuming.

This is easy to do.

2 cups of steel cut oats

3 cups of water

1-2 T of Lemon juice

Add all ingredients together and let sit in room temperature water at least 7 hours.
