Choose Life over Depression

sky-chooselifeChoosing life is a choice and can be hard when we are dealing with struggles. A lot of times we go through depression. Depression is an emotion that God gives us to help show us that something is wrong. Depression is a natural and normal part of grieving over a significant loss such as death. For most people, depression will lift after a short period of time. If depression persists, then one needs to talk with someone that they trust. That could be a counselor, or another person with words of wisdom.

Depression may occur from feelings of guilt, bitterness, unresolved anger or grief or with people who struggle with pressure to succeed.

Signs of depression:

  • Inability to sleep
  • Decrease in appetite
  • Unmotivated
  • Losing interest in activities
  • Fatigue

The 2nd leading cause of death is suicide. People truly believe that no one cares and they are worthless. If you or someone you know are having these feelings seek help!

Who can help?

Find a trusted counselor or therapist. Our family sees counselors as healthy check-up, as one would go to the doctor yearly.

After this, find a health coach to help you navigate your lifestyle and help find your TRUE YOU! Choosing life is to think positively. You are worth it!

I have had several times in my life when I was ready to throw in the towel and just be done with this life. God is our refuge, our ever present help in trouble. He is the only one that can bring us out of the pit sometimes.

Is there a God that created you that loves you more than you can imagine? Yes!

We have a choice to choose to speak words of life or death.
