Instant Pot Spaghetti Squash

Before the Instant Pot, we cooked the spaghetti squash in the oven for an hour with either holes poked in it with a small amount of water in the pan or we cut it in half and removed the seeds and cooked it face down. This is still an option. However, now we can cook it in just a few minutes using our Instant Pot. It cooks quickly and evenly! Love my Instant Pot!IMG_4219

Instant Pot Spaghetti Squash Recipe
INGREDIENTS:

Spaghetti Squash-halved and seeded

Spaghetti or Pasta Sauce

Fresh basil to garnish

1 cup water

Rack included in the Instant Pot

Place 1 cup of water in the bottom of the Instant Pot. Place the Spaghetti squash on the top of the rack face up. Set to manual mode for 5 minutes on High Pressure.

When the timer goes off, let it sit for 5 minutes until the pot cools down, then release the steam valve.  Open the lid to be sure that the squash is as tender as you would like.

Take a fork and scrape the spaghetti squash into strands like spaghetti. Remember, this is a vegetable and isn’t the same as pasta. This is on my top 5 list of quick dinners that I can prepare fast!
