Strawberry and Pineapple

It is recommended that we eat 5-13 servings of fruits and vegetables a day. Sometimes it is the simple things like presentation that goes a long way. Our families enjoy things that look pretty. Here’s a simple idea that even the kids can make. We can have it ready for them when they get home from school or arise in the morning for breakfast. What are your kids favorite fruits? Arrange them in a lovely way on a plate to make it even more appetizing.

 

Strawberries have a high amount of antioxidants. It is said that strawberries can boost immunity, promote eye health, and have anti-inflammatory benefits.

Pineapples contain Bromelain which is fantastic for the respiratory system, digestive system and pineapples contains a good amount of Vitamin C.

Coconut is a great source of fat for us.

INGREDIENTS:

 

Strawberries

Pineapple

Trim and wash strawberries, arrange on a plate, cutting them in half. Cut pineapple into chunks and arrange around the strawberries (Be creative!) 

Top with a few coconut shreds.
